Steamed Layer Tapioca Cake, Thanh Son ToFu, Garden Grove, CA

Bánh da lợn (literally "pig skin" like cake) is a Vietnamese steamed layer cake made from tapioca starch, rice flour, mashed mung beans, coconut milk and/or water, and sugar.  The cake was really sweet and moist. The coconut milk enhanced the flavor and creamy.  However it was a bit sticky and gummy. I would give it a 4/5.
